The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci was completed in the year 1498.

400 years later!

The Last Supper was re-created by America’s finest, realist, 19th century painter, Thomas Eakins, in the year 1898.   The Last Supper by Thomas Eakins might be the most important American painting of the 19th century.

Thomas Eakins has created for us an AMERICAN ICON.

The un-veiling of this painting will be in an installment form, on this website. The first installment was released on Good Friday, April 22, 2011.   All installment postings will be open to blogging by our readers.  So come along and join us in the researching and un-veiling of a GREAT AMERICAN PAINTER’S  re-creation of the worldwide classic painting: THE LAST SUPPER
